The Rogers/Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce has the best ambassadors. If you're not aware, a chamber ambassador is someone that voluntarily represents the chamber of commerce during work hours to help support new chamber members at ribbon cuttings, volunteer at chamber events, help new members in any way they can. I was a diplomat for the Fayetteville Chamber for a few years and Diplomat of the year for two of those years.
In 2020, I moved to Rogers and in 2021 became an ambassador for the Rogers - Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. I wanted to get involved to meet the people and businesses of the area. I have been blessed to know and make friends with several of the ambassadors as well as with the chamber staff.
On January 27th, the chamber CEO Raymond Burns and Membership VP Shelle Summers played a little trick on me :). The day before they asked if I could come to the board meeting to take pictures of a few award presentations. After getting there, they played it smooth, then, what I thought was a quick introduction turned into an admission of the 'ruse' to get me there and presented me with Ambassador of the Year 2021. Turns out I was the one in the picture for the award. I can't remember the last time I was that surprised and caught off guard, but it was a great! Thanks to the chamber for all you do and my fellow ambassadors for your continued volunteer helpful spirit.
