Learning new things that not many people are aware of is another reason I love what I do. Barnes & Noble is a well-known, if not the most popular bookstore, but I had no idea they had a Barnes & Noble College division which spun off to its own separate company back in 2015.
Barnes & Noble College contacted me to create editorial images at the University of Arkansas and NWACC bookstores. The photos are to be used for marketing assets showcasing how BNC can help institutions provide the best retail experience for their students, parents, alumni and local community. To say i was impressed and in awe would be an understatement. The size and offerings rival many chain stores. The downstairs (street level) of the bookstore is dedicated to Razorback, almost anything you can imagine with Razorback theme, apparel, shoes, bags, coolers to laptop covers. It also hosts a coffee bar with lounging area for students to relax and study.
The upstairs is a spacious bookstore complete with online order pickup area and comfortable seating beside the large windows looking out over Garland Ave. For their full product assortment, visit https://uark.bncollege.com/
"These are fantastic – exactly what I was looking for," a quote from the Barnes & Noble College project manager that commissioned this photo project. Creating images to help a company grow and excel is a benefit I'm honored to provide and be a part of. It goes beyond the monetary and gives me a heightened satisfaction and joy in doing what I love.
Whether commercial images to help bring in new business for a company or portraits to be valued and cherished by a family for generations, the satisfaction is something money cannot buy.
